For North America, the B7 model (2005.5-2008) 2.0T motor has a timing belt, with a recommended change interval of 110,000 mi / 175,000 km. The B8 models (2009->) with the 2.0T motor have the timing chain. Just dropped my A4 off for the 75K service and asked about the Timing Belt replacement.
