Dante is supposed to be so versatile and dynamic, that even players, who have 500 hours in the game can easily find new ways to combo with him. So naturally the average player (especially new ones) will be overwhelmed. Pick one Weapon and learn ALL the moves and just try to combo with what attacks to follow with what other attacks (With that
Storywise, DMC 1 and 3 had a narrative of Sparda throughout the game, which made the game very interesting. DMC 5 didn’t have that narrative. It was all just a mystery and confusion, putting puzzles together to figure out the story. And it wasn’t really told to us players forthright. The story is still good though. DMC 2 is DMC 2, less said the better. DMC 4 is unfinished and can be extremly frustrating. Play 3 or 5 as your first. 5 is the best, 4 is decent, 3 is just dmc5 without free camera which makes it annoying, 2 is actually decent aside from the godawful bosses, and dmc1 is dmc3 without any styles. Either way i still think that playing 2 before any of the others could sour the experience. I would never play DMC2 first, i think that could really turn someone off the series. Pawn: Bailey Jay: Fighter with Scather/Challenger(lvl 200) : Arisen: Kylo Renbut IMO you should play the other DMC games simply because they are really great games, and you have a year until DMC5 comes out anyway so you may as well get into the series from the start just to pass the time. the DMC HD collection just came out on this gens consoles not too long ago so there has never been a better time to get into the series
Cardo Dynamic Mesh (DMC) and Sena Mesh 2.0 intercoms can now cross-communicate reliably! Just use a Bluetooth bridge between a single Cardo DMC and a Sena Mesh* unit, and you are good to go! The Bluetooth connection will automatically recover in case of disconnection keeping the combined group together * Not including Sena Spyder and other meshOnce you beat the game I highly recommend remapping the gun button to one of the shoulder buttons (a lot of people put the gun on R2 for Nero- I personally put it on L1, have devil trigger on R2, devil bringer on square, and break-away on the d-pad), because once you get your devil trigger you unlock the ability to charge your gun.
you should probably play DMC 3 for context on the most motivated man alive, and maybe 4. Play 1 if you want the basic intro to the series. here is a timeline for every game in the series: DMC 3, DMC 1, DMC 2 (don't play DMC2), DMC 4, DMC 5. You should at least watch the history of DMC, it’s a short video that summarizes the timeline of the games. The only real setback to playing DMC 3 first is that DMC 3 has a very massive move set compared to DMC 1 and DMC 3 has way more weapons. So, if you play DMC 3 first and then go play DMC 1, you might be disappointed by the lack of moves in DMC 1. But story wise, the DMC games go in this order: DMC 3. DMC 1.The proper order is as follows. Devil May Cry 3. Devil May Cry 1. Devil May Cry 2. Devil May Cry 4. Devil May Cry 5. Devil May Cry 2 is pretty unrelated to the rest although one character is mentioned in Devil May Cry 5. DMC: Devil May Cry is entirely unreleated to the series storywise and is simply a reboot. Share.
